Sunshine Town written by Maniissh Aroraa. This book is
specially crafted for Teenagers.
Once I read this book I wanted to make my cousin try this
book and this was his first book read. He absolutely loves it and the word he
said after reading the book is 'this book understands all his feelings which
the normal grownups will not even care'.
About the story:
The story revolves around the character Shlok his life, his
dream, his love, his studies etc. Shlok is a normal middle class guy with the
middle class dream of ‘fulfilling his dad’s dream’, which is to become a
doctor. As he was very average in the studies he struggles to fulfil the same.
Due to many failures attempts his lost his hope in the studies, but the love
started to blossom in his life. He started to develop his feeling towards the
next door neighbour Natasha.
Will he get success in love life?
Will he get back his lost hope?

Review:
This book is very simple and very neat and no unwanted
exaggeration or drama. The book really understands the inner self of the normal
Indian teenagers. The story is easy to read and the language is too very
simple. It shows all the colour of the middle class teenager life ( I like the
storyline). This book is really a good contemporary novel.
