Hi Maggie!: A Novel written by Ajay Chowdhary

Sometimes a book fills you with so much nostalgia that you pause and ponder over your life events in context of the book and this is exactly what 'Hi Maggie' does to you.

The first story starts off on a cute and humourous note with Sanjiv and Radha. It moves on to Avishek and Raj's stories which talk about their love and loss. I kind of felt for Tanaaz and Avishek as to how fate cruelly separated them. In fact, the stories are so well shaped that the threads of separation reach out through the book and prick the heart of the reader. It feels like personal loss that we have all experienced at some point or the other. I liked that the female characters have been given a voice here though the stories are being seen through the eyes of the four friends.

Highly recommended and looking forward to read more from the author.

 H ow did my book-reading journey started When I was a little girl I used to see lots of regional books filled the entire shelf of my dad's room. He is very generous and will always allow me to touch those books but I was not allowed with the pen or pencil into that room. Of course due to some damage control preservation. Whenever I enter that room the old book presented in that room will give me a warm hug through its dedicated book smell. So whenever I entered that room I used to sniff those book's wonderful smell and will open those books and there I could find the coffee-stained color inner pages. Tales of Unstoppable Women written by Dr Urmi Thakker . The idea of creating such a book is really appreciatable. The cover looks very impressive and the images given inside the book too. About the book: This book is not a fiction or regular storybook. This book is a collection of short stories and that too not a fiction one its about the women who struggled but succeeded in their life and fulfilled their dreams. The book has the total number of seven stories and each story are about fifteen to twenty pages. The story covers the women and her life from different levels and how she fulfilled the dreams. There are pictures of those dream winners by the end of each story and three self reflection was asked to their readers. To know more about the story and these questions please do read the book.
