Book review - Vigil-Aunties

Image
" Vigil-Aunties " written by Richa S. Mukherjee is a thriller and humor-mixed genre book.  The title of this book reminds me of another book I enjoyed a lot, which also contains the word 'Aunties' in its title. So, upon reading this title, I immediately got the idea that finally someone has written a story that matches my vibe, with Indian characters in it. I was really overjoyed to read this book. As soon as I saw the author's name on the cover page, I made a vow to read this book. The cover image alone effectively conveys the genre of the book and offers us a clue about the story. This author's work is not new to me. I have already read her book 'Excess Baggage,' which explored the travel experiences of a woman in her mid-life. When these fabulous four visit the Nagarhole forest, they attempt to solve the mystery using their intelligence. This is the simple outline of the story. But the story reveals an even deeper mystery thriller within it. Now let me discuss m

Book Review: New Age Software Project Management

Image
Book Title:  New Age Software Project Management: Navigating the Technological Revolution Author:  Harshad Acharya Enlightens and entertains!  To have a book that can educate and can also make you chuckle is something of a surprise! From planning, to execution, from organization to team building, every aspect of software management is dealt with care and is told through the story of a team taking on a project. The senior executive Gururaj explains everything in a relatable tone with quips from his associates and juniors and we feel like all the information is just floating into our brains without any effort. Having tried to read books in this niche and being terribly bored, this one is light on the eyes and highly informative at the same time. I liked that in addition to the main topics, discussion around risk management in the era of AI, security threats, current recruitment techniques, project execution speed enhancement through data analytics, handling and management tools and softw
