Book Review - The Happiness Story by Savi Sharma

The Happiness Story written by Savi Sharma. This book will come under the non-fiction genre.

The book has a simple and suitable title for its content.  The cover image delivers us the author's name through its significant cover image style and color choices.

This is the first non-fiction book of this famous author herself. Just like her fiction work, the word choices presented in the book were also easy and simple to read. When it comes to self-help books, I always read them from cover to cover because I don't want to miss any tiny bit of additional information. I would strongly suggest you read this book from the preface as it was very engaging and refreshing to read.

The book starts with a wonderful introduction part. At the beginning of the book in the preface, the author asks us to answer three questions before proceeding with the reading further (I felt this was new). The book first explains what true happiness is and I really like how the author mentioned that happiness is about keeping ourselves satisfied and not thinking about everyone's opinion. The term and the emotion "Happiness" were explained in the best and most detailed ways.

The book has a total number of 6 parts in it and all these six parts have three to six chapters in them. All these chapters speak about different topics but all about happiness. Since the book was written from the author's own life experiences, it feels very realistic while reading and I didn't feel any unwanted bragging in this book, which is much appreciated in non-fiction books. The book has more important points to be noted and the author herself highlighted all those points also this will be easy for referring and rereading purposes in the future.

Now let's talk about what I like in this book. I love the narration of this book and it was so contemporary and felt like I was talking (more like chatting) with a friend. This friendly narration makes the reading experience, beginner-readable and unique. Why I mentioned it as unique is while I am reading when I feel a little tired (very little tired) the next line will be like "Take a break or have some water etc, I never came across any such book that has the perfect timings like this. Kudos to the author for her innovative writing.

I can also find some famours people's words and proverbs in every chapter inbetween while reading and this added beauty to the book. So in simple words, this whole book is simple yet outspoken about the truth about what is happiness and how to attain the same in our lives.

If you are someone who has read many self-help books prior you may feel this book is simple and known with its content but for sure the narration has some distinguish style to it and you can for sure give this book a try. A very useful read and I would suggest you to read this book in the early morning or once you wake up to know its true taste and use.
