Book Review : Maa Maine Hi Makkhan Khayo: Modern Stories Of Lord Krishna by Nurani S Ravi

Maa Maine Hi Makkhan Khayo: Modern Stories Of Lord Krishna written by Nurani S Ravi. This book features fictional stories about the grace of Lord Krishna.

The title is both detailed and captivating. The cover image is soothing and calming, just like the book itself, however, a lighter and more pastel-colored cover could enhance the beauty and contrast of the overall design.

This is a collection of short stories featuring seven tales centered around the devotees of Lord Krishna. Although these are short stories, some exceeded more than twenty pages, making them quite substantial. In each story, we can clearly see the grace and playful nature of Lord Krishna, and these little moments of magic add tremendous depth and emotion to the narratives. The author's storytelling brings each character to life, letting readers feel the love and teachings of Krishna.

Each story beautifully blends modern-day life problems with a mythological touch. One thing I loved about this book is its narration; it is so detailed that it paints vivid scenes in the reader's imagination. While I enjoyed all the stories, my favorite was "Maakhan Chor." This story was presented without any doubt, and I appreciate that.

I am so glad that this is a short storybook, making the reading experience short, crisp, and quick. It is filled with positivity, and while reading—and even afterward—I felt an immense calm and a positive aura around me. The book has close to two hundred and fifty pages, but because the stories are interesting and engaging, I was able to finish it in just two days.
