Book Title: A Voyage Called Life 

Author: Shashikala Gadepally

Short story collections I have always felt have a charm of their own and this one is definitely one of the more charming ones. A Voyage Called Life reads very much like a contemplative and meditative guide to many facets of human emotions. From love to imposter syndrome to jealousy, ambition, corruption, and so much more.. this book treads onto many territories and for the most part does it successfully. 


I did feel some of the stories could have been a little bit longer as they read more like minitales and it felt like the author was in a hurry to wrap up the book. Otherwise, it was a great read and one that I quite liked.

Hopefully next time the stories will have a bit more space to be played out. Great effort!

 H ow did my book-reading journey started When I was a little girl I used to see lots of regional books filled the entire shelf of my dad's room. He is very generous and will always allow me to touch those books but I was not allowed with the pen or pencil into that room. Of course due to some damage control preservation. Whenever I enter that room the old book presented in that room will give me a warm hug through its dedicated book smell. Tales of Unstoppable Women written by Dr Urmi Thakker . The idea of creating such a book is really appreciatable. The cover looks very impressive and the images given inside the book too. About the book: This book is not a fiction or regular storybook. This book is a collection of short stories and that too not a fiction one its about the women who struggled but succeeded in their life and fulfilled their dreams. The book has the total number of seven stories and each story are about fifteen to twenty pages. The story covers the women and her life from different levels and how she fulfilled the dreams.
