Bookreview - The Zamindar's Ghost by Khayaal Patel

Image
The Zamindar's Ghost written by Khayaal Patel . This book will come under the thriller genre. The title is quite good and intruding us to read the story. The cover is designed and wonderfully crafted with the 1950s kind of classic vibe. The main protagonist of the story is Arjun and he returns back to Ooty after his father's death. But the return of Arjun created doubt because he went missing six years ago and appeared all of a sudden. His return already created a mystery in the family but after his return there started more murders in his place of living. Is he a murderer? Or is someone knitting any of this murder plan? I know the answer, if you want to know that answer do read this book. This book has an amazing suspense and thriller-filled story. I generally like fictional stories that have the period as 1950 or prior because they will have a non-technology-based plot line. In addition, this book has a mystery and suspense genre story from 1933 so reading this book was blis

Do we need a basic Skincare?

Image
These days online and YouTube videos are filled with skincare reviews and influencers' views. People who are not aware of basic skin care may fall into the trap of spending more and not getting the desired results that they need.  Do we need a basic Skincare?  Many used to say that our grandparents and parents did not even use any face creams they would just use one soap to wash the entire body including their face and talcum powder that's it. Yes!!!!! I too agreed to the same, they had good skin with strong hair. But I have a few questions now please answer Yes or No to that. 1 . Do you follow the same lifestyle as your grandparents and parents such as walking or cycling alone when you need to travel? 2. Do you think you are getting the same amount of nutrients as them from the food you consume? 3 . Do your food habits and social outings' food menu look exactly as or at least similar to your parents? 4. Do you think you have the same level of pollution and UV Rays that

Deadliest train route of India

Image
India has one of the most Deadliest train routes which was also presented in the Top 5 Deadliest train routes list in the world.  This train route runs from various parts of India to Rameshwaram Junction, Tamil Nadu. Rameshwaram is an Island in Tamil Nadu that can be reached by either road or a  railway bridge. What makes this train route Deadliest is the railway bridge was built on top of the sea. This  Deadliest railway bridge is known as Pamban Bridge . This bridge is India's first sea bridge. This bridge is close to 2.06 km long, and it also has lifting spans in the middle that allow the tall ships to pass through.                                                    The Image of  Pamban Bridge while a train passing Why this railway bridge was considered dangerous? It is because this bridge doesn't have any side walls to support it, hence mild mistake while driving here may create Collateral damage. This bridge was originally built in the year 1911 and was in use since 1925

Blog - The ghost/abandoned town of India

Image
Did you guys just like a movie, In reality, there was a town in South India that was abandoned and called a ' Ghost Town' now. It is not named as such due to some spooky or haunted story but after the horrifying flood. If you are not aware of the same and wanted to know about the same please read further. When I visited Rameshwaram there was a tour guide who asked us to visit the ghost town of India known as Dhanushkodi . I was shocked by hearing the name " The Ghost Town " and was interested in visiting there and as a whole family, we decided to visit there. The place  Dhanushkodi is located on Rameshwaram Island, Tamil Nadu (Yes Tamil Nadu has an Island).  The History of Dhanushkodi is quite big and also painful. Dhanushkodi was an active seaside town until 1964 Rameswaram cyclone hit and ruined it badly. This cyclone killed close to 2000 lives.  Did you know that until 1964 Dhanushkodi had a Railway station, Church, School, Harbour and so many other places just

Book Review - The Heel by Chattanathan D

Image
T he Hee l written by Chattanathan D . This book comes under the crime thriller kind of genre. I love the very simple and befitting title of this book which suits the story perfectly.  The cover image itself kind of impressed me, it gave me the 70's vintage vibe with the train track, pointed heels, and the dead body along with the absolute crimson and red mixed cover color. To explain this book's storyline or plot without breaking its suspense is very tough. The story starts with a preface that a girl was found dead on the railway track in Andra Pradesh and the Guntakal police station sub-inspector was in charge of this case and he is also the main protagonist of the story as well. His investigation process and the shocking mystery that he is unfolding was a real thrill that was waiting for us while reading the story. Do give this book a try if you are an investigation or a thriller book fan. This book has a story that was filled with thriller and investigation elements in it.

My Top 3 Bad 'Book Adapted Movies' List

Image
I n the previous blog, I posted my top 3  best book-based movie adaption list. If there is one positive there should be a negative as well. So in this blog let's find my top 3 worst/bad movie adaptations from the book. Disclaimer Disclaimer !!!!! This is my own list and some may agree and some may not agree with my list. Also, I am not going to mention the usually known films that were known by many. So try to read this list with no hard feelings pls. 1. Can you Keep a Secret? The below mentioned movies were just bad, but this movie is the worst and it was so horrible to watch. This book shouldn't be filmed as a movie because the cringe elements that are present in the female lead can only be read and not seen. The actress was so horrible in the acting and the choice of actors was also very bad and bland. This movie is filled with the cringe scenes. This, Sophie Kinsella's book adaptation movie was so contradictory to her other movie story in all ways.  2. Devil wears Prad

This is my own list and some may agree and some may not, to my list. Also, I am not going to mention the usually known films that were appreciated and accepted by many. So try to read this list with no hard feelings pls. 1. Me before you This is the story that I equally love to read and watch. I really like the movie version of this book kind of a little more. To be honest this movie should be always on the top of my list. The acting, screenplay, and even the emotions were perfectly handled by the actors in this film. This book and movie both made my heart heavy once I completed reading/watching. 2. Confessions of a Shopaholic This movie was so colorful and funny just like

Book review - The Coronation written by Justin Newland

Image
T he Coronation written by Justin Newland . This book will come under the historical fictional kind of genre. The book has a suitable and absolutely matching title for the story. The cover image is also the perfect match for the plot story. The story is happening and is based on Prussia and its war in 1700.  This is not a pure historical book, this is a historical supernatural and fantasy-filled fictional story. The story narrated the war between Prussia and Austria. This is my first book by the author and I like history-based stories so I gave this book a try. This book has fantasy or supernatural elements equally as historical elements. As I am new to fantasy reading, the reading felt a little hard for me. If you are not aware of Prussia's history you may find it hard to understand the story in one read and you need to reread to understand the same. The narration is clear and easy to read. I felt the language would be a little complex for the beginner. Also, I felt like I travele
